Mapsulon. Movies and lyrics of the Who
seems to be the new trend for the next Mapsulon's season. Nearly
all the local lads are quikly turning themselves into Mods and
listening to the Who music; in particular, the song "My
Generation" can be heard everywere.
To figure out how strong this movement is becoming it's enough to
note a heated talk that took place at the bar Mapsulon yesterday:
two blokes were discussing whether Tommy or Quadrophenia is the
best Who-movie; as they didn't found an agreement about that, all
the people present stopped all their occupations (playing cards,
videogames, serving at tables. . .) and joined the discussion.
After a while the situation became unruleable and the bar had to
be closed.
Later the young met in the square screaming "we are the
Mods, we are the Mods, we're, we're, we are the Mods. . .".
Police in Viareggio has been allerted for a possible massive
gathering of mapsulon's Mods and Gavinapsulon's Rockers next
weekend. according to the precedents in Brighton it seems a
common custom (if it can be called so) of these bands to
violently fight each other and destroy everything they found on
their way. In order to draw a bit of mods away from Viareggio, a
semi-pubblic vision of Quadrophenia has been issued in
Pistopsulon (probably in via della quiete) for the same weekend.
